For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the kind of person who was drawn to the beautiful, natural things of the world – sunsets, wildflowers, the night sky, and the ocean. I’ve always wanted to collect and capture what I could of them, even if it was just in my memory. As I got older, I realized that I could do something even better to preserve the wild beauty of the world: I could photograph it, exactly as it was, and preserve it so it could be shared with others for years to come. That was the start of finding my calling in photography, and it only grew to be more passionate with time.

Hey! I’m Skylar, your new photography best friend.
"When I was gifted a camera at the age of 12, I was always the little girl making my friends dress up and do photoshoots with me – picking the poses, styling the shoot, and taking the photos myself."
The summer after I graduated high school, I bought my first “real” camera and started my business soon after. It didn’t take me long to photograph my first wedding, and it took even less time for me to realize that I had found my true purpose. That childhood yearning to capture natural beauty had finally found a home – after all, what could be more natural or more beautiful than true love?
I feel so insanely lucky to have a front row seat to so many beautiful love stories. I will never overlook how much of an honor it is to witness such monumental moments for each of my clients.
If I’m not capturing a love story, you’ll often catch me watching a love story, reading a love story, or living in my own.
Meet my boyfriend, Will, and our two dogs, Sunni and Frank. They make my world go round!
All My Favorite Things
I have a lot of love to share, and so many favorite things that it’s hard to pick just a few! The biggest pieces of my heart go to Jesus, my family, reading romantasy books, rainy days watching romcoms, slow summer mornings, girls’ nights with my best friends, and long walks with my dogs.
